I was in awe when I stepped into the Savoy Hotel. The hotel was very luxurious, and that translated into every aspect, like the look of it, the service, and the overall ambiance. Our guide was from Florida, which made the experience a little more relatable and attainable (especially from a hospitality worker’s perspective).
While touring the back of the house, he emphasized how important it is to make employees feel appreciated and loved. The logic is that when employees feel valued, they have a reason to offer true, meaningful, luxurious service. All in all, I witnessed a good company policy, a healthy work culture, and a strong internal support system that allows the hotel to thrive and offer the luxury service they’re known for.

The Victoria and Albert Museum was my favorite museum. I saw beautiful jewelry pieces in there that were simply breathtaking. I was in disbelief the entire time. They also had art pieces and objects organized by historical periods, which really helped put things into context. Different sections of the museum represented various continents and cultures.
For instance, there was a South Asian gallery with intricate Mughal jewelry and textiles, and a Middle Eastern section with beautiful ceramics and architectural pieces. The fashion section was also super impressive—showcasing garments from different time periods and places, including Europe and East Asia.
This museum had some of the most beautiful art I’ve seen so far, and I felt very inspired and impressed by my time there.
The Victoria and Albert Museum reminded me of how much design, history, and culture shape the guest experience. Whether it’s décor, layout, or inspiration behind a theme, all these elements tell a story—and hospitality is about storytelling too. The more thought you put into the cultural and artistic side of service, the more meaningful the experience becomes for the guest.
Here are some of the beautiful things I saw at the museum:

My takeaways are the following:
- Luxury hospitality is very much needed and appreciated—especially in today’s world, where people want to enjoy the fruits of their labor and treat themselves.
- Good service (especially in a luxury setting) often goes hand in hand with how well the employees behind that service are treated.
